Party Doesn't Matter in Fight Against Homeless

It seems one way to unite people of both parties against a common enemy is for a church to propose a tent city. It may be just the way the media reports it, but it seems like there are ten people speaking against them for every person who speaks up for them.

It shows how screwed up both the Democrats and Republicans are when it comes to facing that which they support.

If you buy into the stereotyping, Democrats tend to favor government handling things so that people don't go hungry and homeless, while Republicans tend to favor leaving much of it up to charity and private donations. That's why I think people who buy into partisan politics, but speak against tent cities, are so full of shit that they could be given enemas through their ears!

How to Tell if a Person is White Supremacist, Only Racist, or Simply Prejudiced

When I first read the words that Dr. King spoke in 1963 at the Lincoln Memorial that by then was known as his "I Have a Dream" speech, I did not imagine that his words about judging people by the "content of their character" rather than "the color of their skin" would still be something that is debatable almost six decades later.

With current events so reminiscent of the unrest of the citizenry over civil rights and the Vietnam War from the days of my youth, I am able to apply experience that young people cannot have with a youthful immaturity that I refuse to relinquish. What that means is that I have been able to adapt my thinking to retain the messages that were given to us in music like For What It's Worth, rather than to become a person of whom young people need to beware.

However, it seems I have both friends and relatives worthy of being despised by young people. They've gone from being the spat upon to being those who spit upon the young people who are quite aware of what they're going through as they try to change their worlds.

Only a Dumbshit Doesn't Know the Answers

Somehow, this dumbshit I know got onto the topic of age old questions to which there isn't a correct answer. Perhaps if you're as big a dumbshit as he is, but, as a thinking person, these questions don't perplex me. Here are the answers so you don't have to be a dumbshit like most of the people I know.

If a tree falls in the woods, and no one is there to hear it, does it make sound?

Oh Sure, Clone Williams Now

Ted Williams is arguably the best left fielder in the history of baseball. He won batting titles, home run titles, and even the triple crown - twice. He was an eighteen time All Star, an All-Star MVP, and even the league’s MVP - twice. He launched a home run in his last at bat in 1960 and left the game as perhaps the greatest player to never win the World Series.

At least in the lifetime that ended last Friday.

The Splendid Splinter’s body lies frozen awaiting either a fiery end or permanent deep freeze, depending on the outcome of the likely legal battle between his children.

Avoiding Facebook Jail: Using Opinions and Questions Instead of Statements

I am surprised at the number of people who think "I disagree" is an opinion. It is a statement, perhaps even a statement of fact, but it is not an opinion. People offer their opinions when they support their claims and statements. There isn't even a definition of "opinion" that allows for an opinion to be an unsupported statement. Despite that, there will be those who think there is a definition that reads: "opinion - (noun) everyone has one; (see also: asshole)."

There is more to making a statement of fact an opinion than adding "I think" to the beginning of the statement, but that is always the least you should do to stay out of Facebook jail. However, if you've already leveled up (a term my granddaughter has taught me) in the punishment factor of the Facebook algorithm, you are as likely as my friend Bryan to get sent to jail if you try to qualify a statement as an opinion by saying, "I think you are white trailer trash." It's okay to think that if you are the good kind of racist like Bryan is, but it isn't okay to just say it that way.

Avoiding Facebook Jail: Insult Creatively

If William Shakespeare were alive today, he'd be quite old and would likely have retired by now. Well, he isn't alive, and I fit the rest of the description.

In addition to those similarities, Shakespeare was a smart ass who made his points regarding the sitting royalty and celebrities of the day through creative insults about characters that were similar to them, but who were not them. It would leave those he insulted in the awkward position of claiming a villain or oaf in a play was really them because of the similarities, or to point out the contrasts and laugh off the similarities as 'Billy S. just keeping it real.'

Avoiding Facebook Jail: Who is Watching You?

Part of the reason that I decided to write my instructions on how to avoid Facebook jail for Bryan is that we haven't been able to find the time to resume our talk about it since it first happened a week ago. His first comment to me was, "They must have somebody watching me because they hit me with the seven-day suspension just for saying [redacted] was white trailer trash." I was barely twenty minutes into the explanation when he had to take a call. Ever since then, he's been busy getting things done that he has put off until now.

Of course, there aren't people watching accounts for violations. The surveillance is being done by bots that act like probation officers. If you don't know what one is, they are people who work in the justice system and to whom people on probation must periodically report.

Avoiding Facebook Jail and My Friend Bryan

My friend Bryan seems to have this recurring problem lately of ending up in Facebook jail. If you don't know what that is, it's a large social media website that was created by Mark Zuckerberg.

It turns out that Bryan keeps getting put into jail because he is racist. I don't want to anyone to get the wrong impression, though. He is racist in the positive sense of the word, which is that he is racist like I am racist. As long as we agree on what is acceptable racism, Bryan is okay in my book.

The type of racism Bryan and I agree upon is that we both despise white people who despise people who aren't white. However, Bryan is not as philosophical as I am, and he just blurts things out that violate the rules regarding hate speech. Calling people names based on their races is racist hate speech even if they are stereotypical white right-wing tea party warmongers.

How to Get Rich Starting at Walmart Like My Cousin Did (Video Reading)

This is a video reading of How to Get Rich Starting at Walmart Like My Cousin Did by Tom Koecke. The original story was written by Tom on June 16, 2020.

It is a satirical story about young conservatives who seem to forget that they started with more money than their peers!

Click this link to the original story, if you want to read it along with Tom.

Patriots for Trump and Smart People for DeSantis: Two Oxymorons with Emphasis on Morons

It seems all the "smart patriots" who once supported Trump have moved on to supporting DeSantis. This is much like the progression that will happen this month when most, but not all, of the children in kindergarten will move on to the first grade. I mean that as an insult to Trump and DeSantis supporters, and not to children who we can expect have not learned about things like math, history, critical thinking, logic, and consequences. However, there does seem to be some relationship between the groups when it comes to naivety.

Despite that DeSantis supporters are indeed smarter than Trump supporters, they are still morons who are pushing their prejudices over the principles of democratic representation, equal rights, and the separation of church and state. DeSantis creates conflicts for himself with the masses of people as he preaches like he is high and mighty, while drawing cheers from people he allows to express their prejudices without the whole "you might go to jail" thing that Trump supporters bravely support until their sentencing hearings.

It is Time to Replace "Uncle Tom and Aunt Sally" with "Uncle Clarence and Aunt Ginni"

Culture evolves, and it is time for the culture that coined the terms "Uncle Tom" and "Aunt Sally" to be better understood so that it can rightfully evolve. Both the terms Uncle Tom and Aunt Sally refer to Black people who aid and protect white people in order to gain personal favor within white society.

The term "Uncle Tom" is based upon the main character in Harriet Beecher Stowe's novel 'Uncle Tom's Cabin.' Stowe's novel is about a Black man named Tom who jumps from a paddle wheeler to rescue the daughter of a rich white man. As a reward for saving his daughter, the white man purchases him at a slave auction, and allows Tom to live with him and his daughter as her Uncle Tom.

The white man's son betrays his father's will to free Tom when he died. He instead sells him to the infamous Simon Legree, who eventually murders Tom for disobeying his order to beat some of his fellow enslaved people.

Creator of Dilbert Proves that He is a Real Dick and Not Just a Dildo

I was surprised to learn that my friend who is a published poet, Rocky Caldwell, and I were part of a hate group according to Scott Adams who is the creator of the Dilbert cartoon. I hadn't heard anything about it having spent yesterday away from the computer. After a couple more questions, it turns out that the hate group we belong to is Black people. This upset me because I am not Black.

I had to look up Scott Adams to see what kind of dildo calls Black people a hate group. I read Dilbert if it was in front of me, but I never sought it out. I didn't hate it as a cartoon. I thought some were funnier than others, and there was the occasional profundity. I couldn't have told you who wrote the strip until today.

Anyway, there is a poll that was conducted in which about half the Black people polled "are not okay with white people." To him, that means they are a hate group.

Marjorie Taylor Greene Beats Lauren Boebert in Round One of Who is Stupidest

I'm not saying that Marjorie Taylor Greene slept her way to a high school diploma, but her calls for a "divorce" between red states and blue states means she should probably restart her education with remedial sixth-grade history. Even though Lauren Boebert has audibly demonstrated why it took her three tries to get her GED, it seems that Greene has told Boebert to hold her Jewish space laser gun so she could demonstrate why she might need three tries on a "true or false" question.

If I were to point out that what she means is "secession" and not "divorce," I would be met with challenges that I know what she means. I do know what she means. I don't think she knows what she means, and I think it has to do with her believing that she is attractive to all the white boys in rural Georgia because of her intellect.

Marjorie Taylor Greene and Sarah Huckabee Sanders Join Kari Lake as VP Hopefuls for Trump

It seemed at one point not too long ago that the losing candidate in the race for governor of Arizona, Kari Lake, was the presumptive choice for vice president on a 2024 ticket with Trump. However, you could only see her last Tuesday if you watched one of two radical right-wing podcasts.

She visited Trump at Mar-a-Lago immediately after the gubernatorial election was called in favor of her Democratic opponent. She has never conceded and has a lawsuit challenging the results of the election that hasn't yet been dismissed. She was trying to endear herself to the other loser who didn't concede with that visit to his home, and she continues attempting to remain close to him by appearing on radical right-wing podcasts to confirm theories about why she lost that she had not yet imagined. She, like Trump, are only popular among conspiracy theorists who are hellbent on being stupider than Trump. I would say also stupider than her, but she is much smarter and far more calculating than Trump.

Tuesday, however, provided two Tea Party RINO women opportunities to audition for Trump on live television as to why they should be his vice-presidential running mate in 2024.

Top Secret Documents with Biden Less Like Mar-a-Lago and More Like Watergate

When news broke last week that top secret documents had been discovered in an office used by Joe Biden, the cries of hypocrisy and double standards rose from the right like it was the 15th ballot and Biggs just voted "present." However, the differences between that and the Mar-a-Lago raid are so significant that even people with Lauren Boebert's level of education might understand them if the differences were drawn out for them in pictures. My hope is to inspire thought, and I accept that thinking is not something people like Boebert do often.

Anyway, for the rest of you, here are the reasons that the top-secret documents found stored improperly in Biden's possession is not like the Mar-a-Lago raid. In fact, it is probably no more scandalous than the cover-up of the Watergate break-in by Nixon.

Biden's people discovered the documents and notified the National Archives and the DOJ. The documents in Trump's possession were requested and then demanded by the National Archives. The documents weren't returned. Many boxes of documents were seized by the DOJ via an FBI raid on Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate. In Biden's case, a dozen or so documents were discovered and immediately returned.

Republican Infighting Signals End of Party Unity

With the party torn between those who want to see democracy collapse for profit and those who want to see democracy collapse for fun, the Republican party is facing an identity crisis. This crisis is on the level of when the party changed from being the party of civil rights that freed enslaved people, to the party that went after the Dixiecrat vote to exploit Kennedy calling Dr. King in 1960. Both parties knew that call pretty much blew it for the Democrats to remain the chosen party for racists.

It started a cross-migration of parties for people. Democrats like Strom Thurmond changed parties from Democrat to Republican in 1964. Sometime between 1964 when she worked on Goldwater's campaign and 1974 when Bill ran for attorney general of Arkansas as a Democrat, Hillary Clinton changed party affiliations. Even Ronald Reagan changed parties in the early '60s.

Freelance Fact Checker Claims Content Farm Owes Him

The business model for what are known as content farms is fairly simple. Writers submit articles that can be found through search engines. The articles contain ads that generate revenue for the content farm which are shared with writers whose articles were clicked on to generate the revenue. Freelance writing for content farms is a tough racket. It only pays off with perseverance, unless there is some luck involved, of course.

Luck is what freelance fact checker John Keynes (rhymes with shines) thought he found before spending months of his time writing fact-checking articles about The Onion for the content farm Liar Liar Pants on Fire. Citing quotations that are false, companies that don't exist, and studies that didn't take place, Keynes concluded that nothing on The Onion should be taken seriously.

How to Cuss Like a Smart Person

* * * * *
This post is dedicated to James Fell who cusses like a smart person in his books.
* * * * *
There are a lot of studies that have concluded that cussing is a sign of intelligence. However, I have talked to people who cuss so much that it takes them three words to say "yes," and who purposely evade intelligence because it will alter their minds with thoughts, ideas, and other things that might kill the buzz.

It is indisputably cussing, but it is meaningless drivel that only serves the purpose of lengthening short sentences into longer ones. This type of cussing does not indicate intelligence. This type of cussing indicates using cuss words as speech crutches.

Conservatives are the Worst People; Liberals are the Next Worst, and for the Exact Same Reason

When Hubbell proved the universe was expanding, Einstein had to make the decision to either accept the evidence as truth or stand on his theory of relativity that was premised on a static universe. Einstein chose to accept the evidence and rework his theory based on the truth that Hubbell had proven. Einstein preferred the idea of a stable universe over one that expands, but he gave up his prejudice when truth was discovered that proved it was incorrect.

That was then, and that was Einstein.

Everyone has access to speak publicly about that which is important to them. For some people, it is to call people names for writing something they can't or won't read. They see trigger words like "conservative" or "liberal" and they want to argue as if they know what they are talking about. Of course, the conservatives are the worst because you have to be really stupid to support rich people who don't care about you. The liberals are the next worst, and for the exact same reason.
